What each class carries when it goes down, and how a red zone changes the roll.
How a kill rolls loot: every class has its own drop chance (does the corpse drop anything at all) and a roll count (how many pulls from its table — duplicate pulls just stack the count). Killing inside an active red zone bumps the class one rung up the ladder — Lurker → Psycho → Grunt → Freak — and adds one extra roll on top; a Screamer has no rung of its own on that ladder, so a red-zone Screamer kill bumps straight to Psycho. The zone's own rarity multiplier also makes the tougher classes more likely to be the thing you killed in the first place. The percentages below are each item's share of its class's table, not a flat chance out of 100 — fold in the class's drop chance and roll count above each list for the real odds. The small mono id under each item name is its raw Config.Items key — what /giveitem and the loot tables both use.
“The everyday shambler. Slow, common, and the one you'll put down a hundred times before the run's over.”
“Feral and fast on the chase, spots you from way out. Runs light — ammo and pills over calories.”
“Fragile support caster. A telegraphed shriek mass-aggroes every infected in earshot onto you — kill it during the wind-up to cancel. Best medical loot outside a red zone.”
“Armoured up. Headshots don't one-shot it — expect to dump most of a mag. A rolling scrapyard of crafting materials once it's down.”
“The apex tank. Rare, brutal, and the only reliable source of armour plate and blood bags in the wild.”
“The fallback table for a kill that reports no recognised class. Every live class above carries its own table, so this only fires on a mis-tagged or debug-spawned kill — kept here for completeness.”
